Meet the Tutors

Ryan Speakman (founder | coach)

Originally from Memphis, TN , Ryan has over 13 years experience as a professional actor, singer, producer, writer, and coach. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (Music Theatre) from the Steinhardt School at NYU.   As an actor, Ryan has performed both on and Off-Broadway...appearing in productions like the revival of Noel Coward's Bitter Sweet (opposite BAFTA winner, Sian Phillips) and the Broadway concerts of Camelot (starring Jeremy Irons) and Oliver! (starring Brian Stokes Mitchell).  In addition to his work in NY, Ryan has performed regionally in roles like Lancelot in Camelot, Bobby in Company, and Curly in Oklahoma! .  In addition to his work on stage, Ryan has worked in both television and film, appearing in shows like Bull  (CBS) and The Detour (TNT).  Most recently, Ryan can be seen in the feature film The Only Living Boy in New York (starring Kate Beckinsale).  Acting aside, Ryan produces and hosts a popular cabaret series Too Legit to Quit, devoted to classic music theatre, at the Laurie Beechman Theatre and Feinstein's 54 Below in Manhattan. He is also the co-founder of #OurTime , which is a weekly, peer-led master class for working Broadway performers.  As a coach, Ryan has privately coached for almost 10 years, specializing in audition and repertoire coaching. Ryan also works as consultant and coach for a boutique talent management company.  He is a proud member of both Actors' Equity and SAG/AFTRA.  

Lauren Lim Jackson (coach | college advisor) 

Originally from Orange County California, Lauren Lim Jackson began her professional career at the age of six, filming Kidsongs videos, several national commercials, and the holiday movie Mrs. Santa Claus. She graduated high school from the Orange County School of the Arts where she was the Academic Valedictorian as well as Valedictorian of her Commercial Dance Conservatory. She later attended Harvard University where she received a B. A. in Sociology with a Secondary degree in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Not being able to shake off the performance bug, Lauren took her Harvard degree and jet setted on the 50th Anniversary World Tour of West Side Story where she played the matinee Anita. A year later she would make her Broadway debut in the Tony nominated musical Finian’s Rainbow. Her other broadway credits include Wonderland (OBC), Memphis, and Motown (OBC). During her broadway performing, Lauren returned to the small and silver screen, filming national commercials for Macy’s and Captain D’s and film and television including Steven Spielberg’s new film The Post, Shades of Blue, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Deadbeat, and Smash. When not performing, Lauren is a choreographer whose works include the long running off-broadway smash hit Sistas and Happy Hour Prohibition, which has been picked up by Norwegian Cruise Lines. Lauren also works for Sound Business Inc’s College and Career Preparatory Institute, where she creates curriculum for high school students that fuses college preparation with performing arts.  Lauren is currently appearing in the Broadway bound Pretty Woman: The Musical.  www.laurenlimjackson.com instagram: limmyjack

Vince Oddo (coach) 

Originally from New York, Vince has spent the past 10 years as a working professional in Broadway Musicals, Plays, TV/Film, and doing Stunt Work. Vince began his professional career soon after graduation, in the national tour of American Idiot. Soon after, Vince transitioned to the Great White Way and has been seen in the original Broadway casts of Rocky , Amazing Grace, and Michael Moore on Broadway: The Terms of My Surrender.   In addition to his work on stage, Vince has worked on screen, in shows like Unforgettable (CBS), Madam Secretary (CBS), The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon, and Jessica Jones (NETFLIX) . As a fight director Vince’s work could be seen in the Off- Broadway play THE ROYALE, as well as fight supervisor for ROCKY and AMAZING GRACE. In addition to his work as an actor and fight director, Vince teaches Stage Combat for Broadway Workshop. Most recently, Vince appeared on NBC's Jesus Christ Superstar: Live, starring John Legend.  He is a proud member of both Actors' Equity and SAG/AFTRA.
